I can't get this to work. The two ogres that fly in always land at full HP and then nothing can hit them. I have 680 range, more than the guide recommends, and pressing shift my DST can not reach all the way to 2 of the ogres that fly in.

What am I doing wrong?

I know i wrote before about having to switch to my dps hero after wave 17 or whatever. I was using the wrong gemstone! After trying this build again with the correct, SPEEDY GEMSTONE... I was able to afk to the end. Speedy Gemstone is a must!

The build actually worked for me. The only issue I have with this is that it allows the north Ogre to get stuck if you have a weird range sweet spot. I've noticed if my towers kill the copter too fast, which is generally in the single digit waves, the ogre gets stuck on the upper portion of the wall and you either need a DPS to take him out or wait the ~5 or so minutes for him to despawn. I would highly recommend running this if you have issues finding something to work on your own. Definitely a worthwhile build and I appreciate the upload.

I was in the same boat as the creator. I'd lose on 16-17 with every other build... then i tried this one and voila! cleared wave 25 first go. My stats were even lower and i didnt have a boost character besides a monk not specced for boosting towers and a semi-crappy chromatic gemstone. at wave 19 i died cause boost monk sucked that i was on and i tried to repair mid-wave. not sure if i quite had to yet but i woulda had to before wave 25 for sure. i have a really good lvl 78 dps app i switched to finish the rest of the run. worked like a charm. if i had a better stats i coulda afked all the way.

Description

I've been seeing guys post their builds for Prom/Survival for over a week now... sadly they were max level and enjoyed the XP exploits before the last 2 patches were reelased... so those of us newbs that were not lvl 83 on release day needed builds to follow that were more in line with our stats/gear. SO i wanted to share this build with the non top .001% guys so they can save themselves some time and angst.

I'm level 88 and my stats with my speed gem equipped are as follows - 1900 Power, 640 Range, 1192 Def Rate. I have 4/4 83 gear upgraded about 205 times each. I've been trying to run this since I was 77 and failing at around wave 17, I have been trying different builds since I was 83 and this one by far runs best for me. I only had to leave the DST's to repair a tower twice, once on wave 20 and again on wave 23... the rest of the time it's compeltely AFK able.

I had issues with kobolds melting my cores instantly win waves 17-19 using Juicebags builds at lower levels... this one has no issues at all with that.

Notes:

1) left edge of forward facing DSTs aimed here

2) right edge of north facing DSTs aimed here

3) Solo - stand here on your builder apprentice with +3/+4 Speedy Gem equipped (yes, better than my transcendent Rock). If group stay on your appy, use whatever pet and have monk stand on the DST's with Speed gem
